What's happening now?
It is a very exciting time for 1916 The Musical’s production team and development. With the Industry Showcase just before Christmas, it’s a brave, new era for all involved.

Jane Jane Robinson
Jane has recently joined the 'family' as Costume Designer. She has won a BAFTA, been nominated for an Academy Award and won no fewer than 4 Emmy Awards for her talent.

Welcome: Jane Robinson
The 1916 team are currently expanding and among others would like to welcome a very special new member to the team: Jane Robinson.  Jane has recently joined the ‘family’ as Costume Designer for the production. For those who are not familiar with this multi award winning Designer, Jane entered the fashion business by designing for leading fashion houses in London.

Since then she has worked on many high profile projects, has won a BAFTA, been nominated for an Academy Award, and won no fewer than four Emmy Awards for her talent and beautiful vision that have helped realise the dream of many producers.

There has also been growth in the 1916 office, with three new members- Kirsty Bell, Production and Costume Assistant, and Carly Bedford and Jennifer Maguire, the new Press Team.

A big hello to all the new members of the team!

Industry Showcase

There is an exciting industry and press night coming up in early December at the London Irish Centre. 1916 The Musical is preparing the songs and actors for a showcase performance that will demonstrate the progress to a select and elite gather of people from the musical theatre world. This will be a concert performance of the musical to date performed by our development cast, with an
exciting and creative night planned for all who will be present.

Silent Auction

1916 Productions Ltd will be holding a silent auction in aid of the London Irish Centre, a registered charity, to repay them for opening their hearts to the musical and giving it so much support and a home.

The auction, which will run simultaneously with the Industry Showcase, will be invitation only, with official representatives from both Ireland and England, bidding for prizes such as a hospitality
day at Twickenham Stadium for the Harlequins versus London Irish game on 27th of December, courtesy of the Harlequins Rugby Club, an ideal Christmas present for any Rugby fanatic! Other prizes include donated memorabilia from both model Kate Moss and Ryder Cup Team Europe Captain Colin Montgomerie, theatre tickets, cocktail making classes with an elite bar and restaurant, and tickets to an exclusive weekend fashion event.

This will be a fantastic evening, providing an exciting backdrop for the whole evening.

Although this is an exclusive evening there is an opportunity for a couple of lucky fans of the Musical to win two tickets to the event, entitling them to VIP treatment, a sneak preview of the musical and the opportunity to bid for some fantastic prices.

Competition

1916 The Musical is offering one lucky theatre fan, the opportunity to win 2 tickets to our VIP industry showcase, on 2nd December. As already mentioned this event is by invitation only and so this competition is the only means of addmitance for the general public. The lucky winner will take their place beside directors, producers, casting directors, journalists and politicians, experience the VIP showcase and have the opportunity to witness the press conference. The competition will be based on our twitter following.
