Linda, obviously you are entitled to your own opinion however in 1985 people said the same thing about Les Miserables, 25 years on this is still running in the West End and classed as one of the greatest musicals of all time!! I think this is a wonderful idea for a show and I wish you all the best of luck, if you can make this a success it will educate the world on a subject that is not known about. What better way to express a story than music. Good Luck.

I am looking forward to your production. I just heard a bit of the music for the first time and I can tell the songs are filled with passion. Just a very small note -- and, of course, I have no idea what things will sound like as developed -- I would ask you consider putting in more "Celtic" overtones in the music. It all sounds like Phantom or Les Mis right now. I am not a Broadway insider so I really don't know how things go...just speaking as a future audience member. AND...I don't want to appear negative. I am very much a supporter!

Creative Team;
Congratulations and thanks you for bringing the complex and compelling story of 1916 alive again through your production of this musical.
Your right in the strategy to reach outto the United States.
In that regard please also think of reaching out beyond the Irish-American community as the story of 1916 is a universal story. The support of Ireland is very strong here due to the positive impact that the Irish (born and following generations) have had on America.
There are many here, me inculed, who would work to make your goals a reality here.

Hi. Though I wish you luck with this, I would have to question exactly who you think your audience will be? Though it is true that you might find an audience in the US, and I wish you well in so doing, I really cannot see a musical on this topic finding an audience in the UK. For a start, where would you get a theatre? Of the 40 or so in the West-End, all but about 10 are already filled with long running shows which won't be coming off any time soon, the show is by an unknown team (relatively speaking) and no matter how good the CD (which I will seek out and buy next time I'm in Dress Circle) the subject matter means even before you've launched, you'll be crucified by the Daily Mail brigade. The story is very much not, as someone in the creative team stated, a universal one. It is very much one which will raise partisan feeling still in the west end. Someone mentions Les Mis. Well, that particular show was a book, let us remember, with a large recognition factor before it even got on stage. When I read and saw your logo, rightly or -as it turned out - wrongly I thought it was either a show about Napoleon (I'm not hot on flags, and it did look like something I'd remembered from that dear departed show) or about the Russian Revolution, and it was only the feeling in the back of my mind about the dates being wrong that made me come to your site.
According to the Ambassadors Theatre Group, the number of West End theatre visits has fallen from 5 to three over the past three years. I go to the theatre maybe 15 or 20 times a year, so see a lot of adventurous stuff. I would probably go and see a show with this subject matter if you gave me free tickets, but otherwise I really cannot think that I would part with my hard-earned.
Please save your money. This particular boat will not float in London.
However, best wishes with the rest of the world
